Why use the GTAW + PAW welding method?
Our Alloy 600 welded tubes are produced using a combination of GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) and PAW (Plasma Arc Welding). GTAW offers a stable process ideal for the precision welding of thin-walled nickel alloy tubes, while PAW provides concentrated energy and high efficiency, facilitating the formation of continuous, stable weld seams.
Post-welding, MTSCO performs heat treatment, sizing, straightening, non-destructive testing (NDT), and hydrostatic testing. These steps verify the weld zone, appearance, dimensions, and sealing integrity, allowing clients to confirm the product's condition prior to receipt.
What are the advantages of our products?
·Welded tubes offer faster lead times and more uniform wall thickness compared to seamless tubes.
·The combination of GTAW/PAW welding with heat treatment and sizing processes enhances weld quality, making them suitable for heat exchanger applications.
·We provide PMI, ET, hydrostatic testing, and dimensional/visual inspections to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
·Products are available with international certifications (e.g., ISO, PED) to meet global project standards.

What testing methods are applied?
Prior to shipment, Alloy 600 welded tubes undergo various tests based on order requirements, including dimensional checks, visual inspections, PMI, mechanical property testing, hydrostatic testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT). NDT methods may include ET (Eddy Current Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), and RT (Radiographic Testing) to assess the tube surface, internal condition, and weld quality from multiple perspectives.

FAQ
Q1: How are these precision welded tubes packaged, and what are the packaging standards?
A1: We strictly adhere to a standard protective packaging protocol: the ends of the welded tubes are fitted with protective caps, and each individual tube is wrapped in a plastic bag. Finally, the entire shipment is securely fastened and packed into sturdy plywood crates to ensure that the tubes remain in pristine condition throughout long-distance international transit and delivery.
Q2: Besides the pipes themselves, can you provide related pipe fittings and connection solutions?
A2: Certainly. That is precisely the advantage of MTSCO’s one-stop supply service. We can provide you with fittings, flanges, and other products that perfectly match our welded tubes.
Q3: Which major manufacturers do you source your stainless steel strip base material from?
A3: We source our raw materials directly from the supply chains of top-tier manufacturers such as Tsingshan and Baosteel.
