GH3030 is a classic high-temperature nickel alloy with stable overall performance, making it one of the preferred materials in the 800-1100℃ temperature range. In the fields of aerospace engines and gas turbines, the choice of material at this operating temperature directly determines the component lifespan.

 

Performance Advantages at High Temperatures

GH3030 (UNS N06030) nickel alloy contains 75% Ni and 19-21% Cr. Compared to stainless steel and ordinary alloys, it is less prone to softening failure at high temperatures. It can maintain high yield strength and creep strength even at around 900℃, a characteristic that makes it widely used in hot-end components such as engine combustion chamber liners and gas turbine transition sections.

 

Material Selection

Operating temperature is a primary parameter: GH3030 offers excellent cost-effectiveness when the design temperature is below 900℃; however, for temperatures exceeding 1000℃ or requiring an ultra-long service life, higher-grade materials need to be evaluated. Furthermore, the risk of weakening in the weld heat-affected zone cannot be ignored; it is recommended to control heat input and rationally design the weld structure.

 

Applications: 

Cracking furnace tubes and heat treatment furnace roller conveyors are classic applications for GH3030. Its high-temperature oxidation resistance ensures that oxide scale does not easily flake off the component surface, while its stable thermal strength supports long-term pressure requirements. When procuring, it is necessary to verify that the material is delivered according to AMS 5540 or ASTM B444 standards and to pay attention to the completeness of the heat treatment process records.
