ASTM A789 S31803 is a duplex stainless steel material with a two-phase structure of austenite and ferrite. It combines the advantages of both and has excellent corrosion resistance, especially in resisting stress corrosion cracking caused by chlorides. Its yield strength is about twice that of austenitic stainless steel. It is suitable for high pressure and high stress working environments, and has good weldability and processing performance. Typical application areas include marine engineering (such as seawater cooling systems, desalination equipment), oil and gas industry (such as submarine pipelines, chemical injection pipes), chemical industry (such as heat exchangers, reactors), paper and pharmaceutical industries, and environmental protection equipment. Quality Control Methods:
Strictly control the quality of raw materials
The raw materials come from large steel mills such as Baosteel, Qingshan, TISCO, and Dongfang Special Steel. MTC and PMI reports are required for each batch. PMI inspection is carried out again after arrival at the factory to double confirm the accuracy of the material and ensure the quality of the source.
Automated welding and full-process traceability management
The product is formed by rolling and bending, and adopts PAW + GTAW fully automatic welding process, and the weld is full and stable. The upgraded process solves the problem of out-of-round welds of large-diameter thick-walled pipes, and the 12-meter annealing furnace improves the annealing quality. The entire production process is monitored by the engineering and technical team and quality inspection personnel, and supporting process cards and image archives to ensure that every detail is traceable.
Comprehensive inspection before delivery
All finished products must pass routine inspections such as appearance, PMI, and size before shipment, and undergo comprehensive inspections such as mechanical properties, hardness, water pressure, UT, ET, and 100% X-ray inspection.
