625 Nickel Alloy UNS N06625 Cold Rolled Seamless Tube For Pressure Vessel
About MTSCO
In multinational pressure equipment and chemical projects, delays in material delivery can impact downstream processing, assembly, and on-site schedules. MTSCO has been active in the industrial metals sector since 2006; by collaborating with HUXIN Pipe—a manufacturer with extensive experience in piping production—we provide reliable manufacturing and production coordination support for nickel alloy tubing orders.
For project-specific products such as Alloy 625 cold-rolled tubing, MTSCO coordinates production scheduling, inspections, and shipping arrangements to align with client milestones, thereby enhancing delivery reliability for large-volume orders. If you have project requirements, please provide technical specifications and an inquiry list so we can evaluate the specifications, lead times, and pricing options.
Manufacturing Process Flow
The production process for Alloy 625 tubing typically includes steps such as hollow billet inspection, piercing, cold rolling, heat treatment, pickling or bright annealing, straightening, cutting, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
Among these methods, cold drawing is particularly suitable for tubing requiring high dimensional precision and superior surface quality. Multi-pass drawing effectively controls outer diameter and wall-thickness tolerances while improving surface finish, ensuring greater stability during subsequent processing and assembly.
How We Ensure the Quality of Alloy 625 Seamless Tubing
• Raw Material Control
Upon arrival at the facility, raw materials undergo verification of grade, specifications, and Material Test Certificate (MTC) data, alongside material confirmation via Positive Material Identification (PMI).
• In-Production Control
Key processes—such as cold rolling, cold drawing, heat treatment, pickling, and surface finishing—are documented via process cards. Quality Control (QC) personnel photograph and record critical production stages to keep clients informed of the production status.
• Pre-Shipment Inspection
Before dispatch, we inspect the surface appearance, dimensions, end conditions, and packaging protection. We also arrange for testing—including PMI, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Hydrostatic Testing (HT), and analysis of mechanical properties and chemical composition—in accordance with order requirements.

Product Standard Overview | Technical Standards
ASTM B444 applies to seamless pipe and tube made of nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloys, such as UNS N06625. This standard specifies chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances, manufacturing conditions, and testing requirements, serving as a key reference for the procurement of Alloy 625 seamless tubing.
ASTM B829 is the standard for general requirements regarding nickel and nickel alloy seamless pipe and tube; it supplements specific product standards by outlining general provisions for dimensions, tolerances, sampling, inspection, and processing conditions. In this context, ASTM B444 focuses on material-specific requirements for Alloy 625, while ASTM B829 focuses on general technical requirements for seamless tubing.
Material Characteristics
Alloy 625 (UNS N06625) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy characterized by excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and high strength. Molybdenum enhances corrosion resistance in chloride and acidic environments, while niobium improves the microstructural stability of the alloy. This material is suitable for industrial environments involving corrosive media, temperature fluctuations, and stringent requirements for material stability.

FAQ
Q1: In what pressure equipment applications can Alloy 625 tubing be used?
A1: It is suitable for use in chemical pressure equipment, heat exchangers, condensers, evaporators, and piping systems handling corrosive media.
Q2: What are the benefits of the cold-rolling process for pressure equipment tubing?
A2: Cold rolling helps control outer diameter, wall thickness, straightness, and surface uniformity. Such dimensional control minimizes the risk of deviations during subsequent processing, assembly, or the installation of heat exchanger tube bundles.
Q3: Are BA or AP surface finishes available?
A3: Yes. BA finishes are suitable for applications requiring high levels of cleanliness and specific surface quality, while AP finishes are suitable for general industrial assembly and subsequent processing.
