Cold Rolling and Cold Drawing Processes
Cold rolling and cold drawing are key cold-working processes that enhance the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of seamless pipes. Cold drawing utilizes dies to pull the material, making it ideal for high-precision, small-diameter, thin-walled tubes; cold rolling employs rollers for progressive compression, significantly improving wall thickness uniformity and surface finish.
Both processes are performed at room temperature, substantially increasing the pipe's strength and mechanical properties. Combined with annealing to eliminate work hardening, these processes ensure the products meet the rigorous industrial standards required for heat exchangers, precision instruments, and high-pressure energy equipment.

In Which Sectors Are Our Pipes Used?
Chemical and Petrochemical: Thermocouple protection pipes, reactors, heater pipes, and chemical transfer pipelines.
Nuclear Power and Energy Engineering: Steam generator pipes and reactor control rod components.
Heat Treatment and Industrial Furnaces: Muffle furnaces, radiant pipes, annealing pots, and heating furnace components.
Aerospace and Marine Engineering: Jet engine components, exhaust systems, and high-temperature gas piping.
FAQ
Q1: What inspections can be performed before shipment?
A1: Common inspections include PMI, UT, ET, hydrostatic testing, dimensional checks, and visual inspections. Testing is conducted in accordance with product standards and technical requirements specified in the order.
Q2: How are seamless pipes typically packaged?
A2: Pipe ends are usually fitted with protective caps. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, plywood cases are used; for FCL (Full Container Load) shipments, woven bags are used, with securing measures applied based on dimensions and loading methods.
Q3: Besides the pipes themselves, can you provide related pipe fittings and connection solutions?
A3: Absolutely. This is a key advantage of MTSCO’s one-stop supply service. We have held a controlling interest in a specialized pipe fittings factory since 2010. We can supply butt-weld fittings, flanges, and other components that perfectly match the pipes, ensuring consistency in material and performance across the entire piping system.
