How Are Flawless Welded Tubes Made?
MTSCO 2507 duplex stainless steel welded tubes utilize a fully automated production chain. Raw materials are sourced from major manufacturers such as Baosteel and Tsingshan, undergoing PMI composition re-inspection upon arrival. Plates are formed using CNC rolling machines and automated welding is achieved through a GTAW+PAW composite welding process. After welding, solution heat treatment is performed at a temperature controlled within the range of 1020-1140℃, followed by rapid water quenching. A pickling and passivation process removes the weld oxide layer and restores the surface passivation film. MTSCO uses a 12-meter-long heat treatment furnace to ensure uniform and complete annealing of the welded tubes, guaranteeing stable material properties.

Where Can Our Welded Tubes Perform?
Marine Industry Applications: Suitable for offshore platform process piping, FPSO projects, seawater cooling systems, seawater desalination equipment, etc. 2507 duplex steel exhibits superior performance in deep-sea environments.
Sulfur-Containing Oil and Gas Services: Specifically designed for the transportation and processing of acidic oil and gas containing hydrogen sulfide. NACE MR0175 certified, ensuring safe and reliable operation in sulfur-containing environments.
Chemical Industry Applications: Used in reactors, transmission lines, and heat exchangers handling chloride-containing media. Provides reliable corrosion resistance in corrosive chemical environments.
What are the characteristics of duplex steel?
UNS S31803 2507 duplex stainless steel has a microstructure with a balance of austenitic and ferritic phases. Its mechanical strength is approximately twice that of austenitic stainless steel, and its yield strength exceeds 550 MPa. This material exhibits excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-containing environments, with a PREN value greater than 31. 2507 duplex steel is particularly suitable for acidic environments containing hydrogen sulfide and is certified by NACE MR0175/ISO 15156. MTSCO's 2507 welded tubes, after solution annealing, ensure a uniform and stable metallographic structure, effectively preventing the precipitation of harmful intermetallic phases.
FAQ
Q1: Which major manufacturers supply the stainless steel strips (base material) you use?
A1: Our raw materials are sourced directly from the supply chains of top-tier manufacturers such as TSINGSHAN and Baosteel.
Q2: How do you ensure that the product quality is completely consistent with the description?
A2: MTSCO implements full quality tracking from raw materials to finished products. We conduct PMI composition analysis, mechanical property testing, and ultrasonic/eddy current non-destructive testing. Customers are welcome to designate SGS, TUV, etc., for third-party inspection; we promise "zero defects" delivery.
Q3: Our end clients are major multinational oil and gas companies; how can you demonstrate that you are qualified to serve as a supplier?
A3: MTSCO specializes deeply in the field of specialty piping. We not only hold core manufacturing certifications such as PED and NORSOK M650, but also possess an extensive track record of successful supply deliveries for top-tier global energy projects. We can provide a list of relevant project references to assist you in successfully passing your end clients' rigorous supplier qualification audits.
