Seamless Tube Production Process

·Raw Material Preparation and Piercing: Raw material billets undergo PMI re-inspection, peeling, centering, and heating before piercing to form the base tubular shape required for subsequent cold working.

·Preliminary Processing and Surface Cleaning: Pierced tubes undergo straightening and pickling to remove oxide layers and improve surface condition.

·Cold Working and Heat Treatment: Tubes undergo cold rolling to ensure precise outer diameter and wall thickness, followed by solution annealing. Surface finishes such as bright annealing or annealed & pickled can be selected based on order requirements.

·Finished Product Processing and Inspection: Includes straightening, cutting, polishing, and non-destructive testing (NDT). Inspections such as UT, ET, HT, and PMI can be arranged upon request.

·Marking, Packaging, and Shipment: Qualified products are marked, packaged, and shipped, ensuring clear identification and product integrity throughout transport and delivery.

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Methods

UT (Ultrasonic Testing) identifies internal cracks, inclusions, or laminations via sound wave reflection, helping to detect hidden defects early and reduce the risk of failure.

ET (Eddy Current Testing) utilizes electromagnetic induction to rapidly scan surface and near-surface areas, detecting cracks, corrosion, and wall thickness variations; it is highly efficient and suitable for continuous production.

HT (Hydrostatic Testing) verifies pressure-bearing capacity and sealing integrity by applying pressurized liquid, ensuring no leakage or rupture during service.
